My additional project will be about the Native Americans that once populated Kalamazoo. Not sure what format it will take yet, but should know that by tonight.
I will do the home page and the lesson plan page. We each have to do at least two... we need standards, project based learning stuff, and others. Kara, I need your link for your digital story, couldn't find it on the class site. Post what you specifically want to work on for your two pages and we can all work on the others. Thanks!
I was wondering if it would be appropriate for me to do a page specifically on the characteristics of PBL. It seems logical to me, but I don't know if it's what Sharon wants to see... If you all think that's a good idea, then that can be one of my pages, and my additional project will be a movie or podcast about PBL.
For my other page, I wondered about making a page that supports using the specific topic of Local History. (Why does it support PBL? Why is it important for kids to study? etc.... This could also transition nicely into a discussion or links regarding standards)
Thoughts? Yes? No? If everyone supports those pages then I'll get moving on those quickly!
Jessica, I do think the first page that you are talking about is perfect, but I think the second one can be addressed in the first one and the home page and would be overkill by itself. I like your podcast idea also.
Thanks for the feedback, Meg. I will definitely do the PBL page then. I see what you're saying about the second page. I'm just really stretching to come up with more ideas. Maybe I'll be inspired as the site comes together? PLEASE feel free to let me know if you have any ideas for me! :)

Is the standards page just a compilation of all the standards that are covered?
One example site had a page devoted to the use of the virtual pen pal assignment. Why was it a part of the unit? How did promote PBL? Why should other people use it? Stuff like that. Do you think that would be okay? Or does that fall under the "making pages according to assignments" category? It seems like if it's in an example she provided then it should be fine.
I like what you have added so far! Kara and I are going to get together tomorrow (Friday) at 2 in Niles. Is there any possiblility that you can join us? If I remember right you are in Kalamazoo? If not, that is okay. I'll get back to you on the pen pal assignment after I look closer
I wish I could join you, but Niles is over an hour away from Kzoo and I have a premarital counseling session at 4. If you and Kara just want to make a plan and delegate to me, that's fine. I'm really struggling with this particular assignment for some reason, so if you two are actually going to be able to work together in person and make some decisions, great! I trust your judgment. Just let me know what gets decided and what I need to do.
